On The Peak of Mount Stupid Podcast

The Dunning-Kruger effect

Sam Hardy and Andrew Stansbury Season 1 Episode 1

In Episode 1, Sam and Andrew briefly introduce themselves and why they are interested in critical thinking. They outline why they are adding to this very saturated podcast market and why the listener may also enjoy getting involved.

They then go onto discuss a psychological principle called the Dunning-Kruger effect. Did you know that 50% of drivers think they are in the top 10% of drivers? The Dunning-Kruger principle explains why we think we know more than we do and how we can avoid being know-it-alls. It also helps to explain how Sam and Andrew are by no means experts in this field, but are learning about new ways of thinking to help benefit them in day-to-day life - and so can you.

Episodes are released at 7am on Tuesday mornings.
