"Now I'm 18, I'm an adult and I know everything that is best for me.." - Prefrontal Cortex

Sam Hardy and Andrew Stansbury Season 1 Episode 5

There has to be an age in which we allow humans to be classed as adults. We all need to learn where we are placed in this world and we all need to learn from and be held accountable for our mistakes at some point. The chosen age in the UK and in may other places is 18, which is a great age, but research shows that our brain is not fully developed until we are in our mid twenties. This research shows that our decision making/ logical brain isn't at full working capacity up until this point and decisions can be predominantly emotionally made before then. Is this a bad thing? Who knows... Listen to Sam and Andrew discuss this topic in more detail and maybe it will help you understand yourself a little bit more.

Episodes are released at 7am on Tuesday mornings.
